Not quite what I’d hoped for!

I’d tried a pair on in store, but they only had XXXL in stock so I ordered online in an XL as per the size guide. Upon receiving I opened up a pair of gloves which are very well made and aesthetically pleasing and what I was expecting. They are as comfortable as I remember, however the thumbs in particular are un-proportionately long. The finger lengths are perfect but I have much more slack at the end of the thumbs than I’d expect (maybe 30mm). I’ve ridden a few times with them now and although I could probably get used to this, it is annoying and makes using controls like your indicators a bit of a challenge. Maybe I’ve ended up with a pair that has strange thumbs, but it’s worth checking this when you buy.
As I tried on in store I hadn’t really checked the specs, but these gloves are also not waterproof and take some time to dry out due to the padding they have. I purchased them as a summer glove so it’s not the end of the world, but I have covered them in Graingers to try and improve this slightly (as I ride daily and do get caught in rain regularly).

I’m left disappointed with a glove that I love the look of and had high hopes for after seeing in person prior to purchasing, so for that reason I can only give 2 stars, I’ll ultimately end up replacing these in the next few months I’d imagine.

- Aesthetically pleasing
- Comfortable
- Padding on the palms makes these comfortable to ride with (as someone who rides a cruiser that vibrates a lot through the bars).

Cons:
- Strangely long thumb length
- Not waterproof
- long drying out time
